Anti-Bullying Strategy

At Gordon Primary School, children are encouraged to build positive relationships with each other and to maintain these at all times. This philosophy is enshrined in our school vision, values, rules and our Behaviour & Relationships policy.

Staff encourage children to treat each other with kindness and respect; they model this behaviour towards one another and with children. Whilst we pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming school where relationships are strong and where everyone belongs

There are times when children may be unkind towards one another. At these points they are reminded of the school’s expectations and asked to reflect on how they made the other person feel. As with all schools, on rare occasions bullying incidents can take place at times, where children are deliberately and repetitively hurtful towards others. We are committed to creating an anti-bullying culture where no bullying behaviours are accepted, and it is seen as the responsibility of all members of the school community to report any instances of bullying.

Our Anti-Bullying policy outlines our strategy for preventing and tackling bullying.

Pupil Policies

Friendship Ambassadors in in Key Stage 2 and pupils from Key Stage 1 have been supported in reading and understanding our Anti-Bullying policy. They have created their own 'child-friendly' version of the document which can be shared with your children to support them in understanding how we prevent and tackle bullying at Gordon.
