We believe that everyone in our school community should be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment so that pupils can learn, staff can work and parents feel welcomed. Our school should be free from fear and intimidation so that we can ensure the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
At Gordon Primary School we value:
- honesty and kindness
- respect and cooperation
- curiosity and creativity
- ambition and resilience
- empathy and integrity
Our school behaviour code is consistently applied and displayed throughout the school:
- We are gentle.
- We are kind.
- We are honest.
- We try our best.
- We look after property.
- We listen.
The behaviour code and its implications are regularly discussed in assemblies and the classrooms .
All children from Year 1 to Year 6 are in Houses and are rewarded with House Points for politeness and behaviour as well as academic effort and success. Monitors count the House Points and running totals are announced in Monday assembly and each half term a cup is awarded to the winning House.
