## Mathematics

In maths we have adopted the Mastery Approach and we use the Government approved Maths No Problem scheme of work and resources including textbooks and workbooks. Teaching and learning in maths is consistent and progressive across the school. Our maths teaching follows the five key principles of the mastery approach: coherence, representation and structure, mathematical thinking, fluency and variation.

Although the scheme of work is followed, we plan lessons in response to Assessment for Learning; this may involve inserting extra lessons to ensure concepts are understood and secure.
